Pleasures and Treasures of Time

Mom, Lucy Pitts, made fast friends with Helen at Wingate Rehab & Nursing Center. I don't know if it was the fact that they were from the very same hometown but even though they really didn't know each other previously, they seemed to have known each other's spirits instantly. They became buddies. They seemed to bring the spiciness out of each other, which was a real feat because they are both the sweetest of ladies. They enjoyed sneaking salt into the dining room and watching movies until they were politely told they really needed to go to bed. Mom told me that they chided themselves that they at their age were watching these movies, and chuckling about it. They also seemed to be ever so caring of others in Wingate, watching over and trying to get them to talk and be with the others. I'm so very happy that Mom met Helen at Wingate. She really helped Mom pass the time in such a delightful way. As Mom worried over Helen since she moved to PA, she said many times how lovely and a perfect lady she was. Not only did Helen boost Mom but her children always had time to great Mom, lifting her spirits. This is truly an example of the pleasures and treasures of time. Time is the essence of life. Time spent well and with pleasure is a treasure. May God be with you all at this time. Our deepest of sympathies are with you as we also mourn the loss of such a lovely lady.
