Condolence: I cannot feel sad, I can only feel grateful to have known this wonderful man.
I am Janet, sister to Debi and sister-in-law to Bill Brown, Jr. The first time I met Bill Sr. was at Debi & Bill’s wedding in 1997. He and Eileen were such a cute couple, and both so happy at their son’s wedding. Except for one thing! Aside from the wedding cake, Debi had specially ordered chocolate cupcakes for her husband-to-be, but when the bakery delivered all vanilla iced cupcakes, Bill Brown Sr. was not happy! The next business day he went into the bakery to personally complain to the owner for the negligence. Don’t mess with my kids!
Over the next twenty years, my husband Lou & I had many opportunities to spend time with Bill, Sr. We enjoyed talking with him and sharing laughs over his many jokes. His love and devotion to his children and extended families was impossible to miss. His generosity was unparalleled. He was a real man, in every sense of the word, and always a true gentleman.
Bill Sr & Eileen gave us Bill, Jr. I feel the same about him as his Father. Strong, true, real. I couldn’t have chosen a better man for my sister than Bill, Jr. I love him as a true brother and know many of his qualities are a result of his Father. He loved his Father, considered him his best friend and acted accordingly. I’m only sorry for the fact that Bill Jr will so miss his nightly call to Dad and his weekly dinner as well.
Thank you for including us in your life and being such a hero to your family.
