Obituary for Edward W. Rish

Edward W.  Rish
Edward W. Rish, 67, of Garrison and formerly of Greensburg, PA, died on April 26, 2017 at Hudson Valley Hospital Center.

Born in Greensburg, PA and raised in Claridge, PA, Edward was the son of Stanley and Betty (McNelly) Rish. He proudly served our country as a Sergeant in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He had been employed as an engineer for Keystone Electric in Queens.

Edward was very involved with Veterans’ affairs especially in providing assistance to homeless Veterans. He ran the Lawrence Pariseau Veterans Outreach Center in Garrison. A fan of the Yankees and the Giants, Edward was an avid collector of baseball cards and memorabilia.

Edward is survived by his wife, Stephanie (Church); his children and their spouses, Christopher Rish and Jacqueline Khan of Beacon, Andrea and Scott Berardo of Poughquag, and Michael and Kristina Rish of Pulaski; his grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, Talia, Wyatt and Emma; his 5 younger sisters in Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-3pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Memorial Service will follow at 3pm.
