Obituary for Beverly M Diamond

Beverly M. Diamond, 58, of LaGrangeville and formerly of Hopewell Junction and Poughkeepsie, died on July 17, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Poughkeepsie on May 6, 1958, she was the daughter of John and Ida Titus Downing. An avid gardener, she loved spending time outdoors.

On August 21, 1992 in LaGrangeville, Beverly married Thomas Diamond who survives at home. She is also survived by her children, Jenelle Hawley and her significant other Len Totten of Verbank, Barbara Kirkpatrick of LaGrangeville, and Robert Diamond and his wife Beverly of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Khloe Hawley of Verbank, David, James and Lea Kirkpatrick of LaGrangeville; her mother-in-law, Brandora Diamond of Mahopac; her siblings, Betty Lowden and her significant other Tom Barhydt of Millbrook, Mary Pike of FL, April Barhydt of FL, Jerry Downing and his wife Laura of Poughkeepsie, and Butch Downing and his wife Gail of NC; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda Diamond of Carmel, Louise Bertalino and her husband Sal of Mahopac, Diane Boneu of Mahopac, and Linda Delvescovi and her husband Mike of Wappingers Falls; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Edward Hawley Jr. “Little Eddie”; and her brothers, Jimmy and Martin Downing.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 11am-2pm with closed casket hours beginning at 12pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
