I grew up in Wiccopee on Cary Road my grandparents were Pat and Harriette Ferrara I knew Mr. Odell from school and the firehouse most of my family belonged to the Wiccopee Firehouse at some point, and my grandmother worked at the Wiccopee Inn.
I remember I was having a bad day I was in 5th grade. I was hiding under the stairs in the 5th and 6th grade section of the school crying. He must have heard me or saw me he showed up with a chocolate milk. He just smiled and said hey smilely maybe this will make you feel better. I sat there for about 10 minutes untill my teacher showed up "Mrs Ezrol" and sat with me to calm me down and brought me to the nurse so I didn't have to go back to class looking all red and sniffley. I have great memories of Mr. Odell besides that one but that he touched my heart. He was a truly caring loving person I don't know if he even realized how many hearts he touched with just his smile. I will always remember him I am 52 now and remember that as if it were yesterday.
