Donald K. Jennett, 81, a resident of Rouses Point and previously of Hopewell Junction, died on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Columbia Memorial Health.
Born on February 2, 1937 in Plattsburgh, Donald was the son of Parsons and Lucille (Urban) Jennett. On April 22, 1961 at Church of the Nazarene in Poughkeepsie, Donald married the love of his life, Rose Schoen, who survives at home.
Donald worked as a Programming Manager at IBM in Armonk for 29 years until his retirement in 1988. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy from 1954- 1959. He was lifetime member of Whortlekill Rod and Gun, Federation Fish and Game of DC, Hunter Safety Instructor and member of the East Fishkill Planning Board.
In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by his children, Rosemarie Neckles and her husband Gregg Monjeau of Hopewell Junction, Dale and his wife Robin of Hyde Park, and David Jennett of Beacon; his granddaughter, Danielle Danaj and her husband Dritan; his grandson, Tyler Neckles; his great grandson, Kastiel Danaj; his sister, Constance Hotaling; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-5pm at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Military honors will be held at 5pm.
