Obituary for Leonard R. Clancy

Leonard R. Clancy, 83, a lifelong area resident, died on October 7, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Dover on May 27, 1935, he was the son of Michael and Eleanor (Brill) Clancy. Leonard proudly served our country in the US Army and had been employed as a supervisor with James A. Klein, Inc. in Wappingers Falls.

Leonard enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was also a CB Radio and Ham Radio Operator. He was known for his handyman skills because he could fix everything.

On February 3, 1961 in Staatsburg, Leonard married Carleen Hulle who survives at home. He is also survived by his sons, Glenn Clancy of Wappingers Falls, and Gary Clancy and his wife, Julie of Wappingers Falls; his granddaughter, Melissa Clancy of Wappingers Falls; his brothers, Michael and Ronald Clancy; his dog, Remmy; and his cat, Binx. He was predeceased by his sister, Pat Rhodes; and his brother, James Berryann.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be on Friday at 10am at the Funeral Home followed by interment in Hopewell Cemetery.
