The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jennifer Tompkins can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Jennifer's Bird

Jennifer will forever be remembered by me and the Albert, Schuyler and Tompkins families

I, and my six siblings, are the children of Regina Okulski Schuyler. Regina and Delores Mastalski Albert, Jennifer's mother, grew up together in Philadelphia during the Great Depression and WW2. They were life-long friends, adoring cousins and, as I suspect, a duo of shared dreams, ideals and loves.

But the sharing became more interesting. Both cousins had large families, Regina with seven children and Delores with six. Their mutual "herds of kids" were often brought together, to creat an enormous milling crowd and most often in Putnam Valley at the Albert home.

Both cousins, "Two of a Kind", bore thier children in almost the same identical birth order and number. I have heard that conspiracy theorists are still challenged by these events.

But "Jennifer's Bird" a painting done by Delores Albert with a mother's love and celebration of her young daughter Jennifer's transfixed joy and wonder of a Christmas ornament remains in my mind and my heart.

I will remember our fun times together as young children and teenagers, that magical painting, and Jennifer's warm smile and laugh. Our families are drawn together: in sorrow at Jennifer's passing; in celebration of her life.
