Frank DiMaggio
FISHKILL – Frank DiMaggio, 83, a resident of Fishkill, passed away at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on Sunday, September 9, 2018.
Born in the Bronx on May 29, 1935, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Burke) DiMaggio. On May 24, 1959, he married Angela Bellantoni at Assumption Church in Tuckahoe, NY, who survives at home.
Frank worked as a Mason Laborer and was a member of Local 18A in New York City and Local 235A in Elmsford. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife Angela, Frank is also survived by his son Frank Jr. of Hopewell Jct.; his daughter Donna (Salvatore) Merlino of Pleasant Valley; his daughter Joy (George) Bombace of Wappingers Falls; his son Philip (Cindy) of White Plains; his grandchildren Angela (Gino), Deanna (Tyler), April (Gary), Jessica, Frankie, Briana, Nicolette, Richie, Andrea and Torie; his great-grandchildren Blake and Giovanni; his sister Katherine Parliapiano; and many nieces and nephews. He was looking forward to meeting his great grandchild.
Frank loved his wife unconditionally and enjoyed being with his children and family. “B-Bop” as he was affectionately known to his grandchildren was a diehard Yankee Fan who loved playing cards and visiting casinos.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 9 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Jct. followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
