Obituary for Nicole Marie Marinucci

Nicole Marie  Marinucci
Nicole Marie Marinucci, a former resident of Hopewell Junction, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in Burbank, California. She was 31.

Nicole was born in Poughkeepsie on July 24, 1987. She grew up in Hopewell Junction and attended local schools including Brinckerhoff Elementary School, Van Wyck Junior High School, and John Jay High School. She also studied at Dutchess Community College.

While a resident of the Hudson Valley, Nicole held many jobs, including a position for the New York State Bridge and Tunnel Authority. She volunteered her time and talents to many nonprofit organizations, including “Play For Your Freedom”, a charity committed to the wellness of U.S. Veterans.

Nicole had a lifelong passion for the performing arts that began during her childhood at school plays and dance studios. While enrolled at D.C.C., she became involved in several student films. In 2009, she turned her focus to New York City where she took part in many productions such as independent films, TV commercials, and music videos. She received professional training at various studios, including Masterclasses taught by Dustin Hoffman and Kevin Spacey. She worked as both an actor and producer for many projects such as Split Costs, The Sisterhood of Night, The Coroner: I Speak For The Dead, Hits, Men In Black III, Eight, and Melancholia.

For her professional Career, Nicole adapted the stage name “Mela Hudson”. In 2017, she moved to Burbank, California to continue her successful career in Hollywood.
Nicole’s talents were not limited to acting and producing. She was a talented self-taught pianist & drummer who loved to sing. Her love of dance (including ballet, tap, and jazz) remained with her throughout her entire life, and she additionally pursued modeling. She was also an avid outdoorswoman.

Nicole is survived by her mother, Carol Ann Dalrymple-Marinucci of Maybrook; her father, Michael J. Marinucci, Jr. of Hyde Park; her brother, Michael E. Marinucci of San Francisco, CA; her twin brother, Vincent Marinucci of Poughkeepsie; her grandmother, Rose Dalrymple of Philadelphia, PA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving relatives & friends.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Brice Dalrymple, Michael J. Marinucci, Sr., and Dorothy Marinucci.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 8th at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill.
