Obituary for Blanche Kaslin

Blanche  Kaslin
CLINTON CORNERS - Blanche Kaslin, 98, an area resident for over 50 years, died on August 27, 2018 at her home.

Born in Brooklyn on August 8, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Josephine (Markowitz) Kraujalis. During World War II, she worked for the US Air Force. As a woman, Blanche was a pioneer in the record producing business. As a record producer with Hull Records, her Gold Records included “Daddy’s Home” by Shep and the Limelights, and “Book of Love” by the Monotones. She enjoyed antiquing, interior decorating, and selling jewelry at flea markets.

On January 28, 1939 in Brooklyn, Blanche married William Kaslin who predeceased her on March 11, 2014. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Karl and Debra Bengtson, Carol and Craig Burke, Christine and Roger Burke; her great nieces and nephews, Kris, Cassie, Erik, and Alek Bengtson, Liam and Lindsey Burke, Jack Burke, Bobby and Kevin Kraujalis; and her great, great nephew, Trey James. She was predeceased by her siblings, Albert Kraujalis and Frances Bengtson; and her nephew, Bobby Kraujalis.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 15 at 12pm at the Maple Avenue Cemetery in Patterson. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc.
