Dorothy Trapini, 92, died on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Wingate at Dutchess in Fishkill.
Daughter of the late Leo and Virginia (Senaca) Sledgenowski, she was born in Newburgh on June 6, 1926.
For over 30 years, Dorothy worked as a legal clerk in Orange County and worked for John Dupee, Esq. in Goshen.
Throughout her lifetime, she enjoyed many hobbies including figure skating, bowling, and she was an active volunteer with her children’s scouting organizations. More than anything else, she loved being with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Trapini, in 1985.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Trapini of New Mexico; her son, Thomas Trapini of Florida; her grandchildren, Shaunna Smith & her husband Travis, Jolene Trapini, and T.J. Trapini; her great-granddaughter, Olivia Faith Smith; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her sisters, Genevieve, Alfano, and Margaret.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
