William G. Grafer
LAGRANGEVILLE - William G. Grafer, 74, an area resident for 41 years and formerly of Newburgh, died on July 18, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Knoxville, TN on August 7, 1943, he was the son of William A. and Jeanne (Roche) Grafer. William was employed as an Electromechanical Technician at IBM in East Fishkill for 30 years until his retirement in 1992. He was a parishioner of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church in LaGrangeville, and was the past president of Trout Unlimited. A man of many interests and hobbies, William could fix anything.

On September 7, 1963 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Newburgh, William married Carole (Yeomans) who survives at home. He is also survived by his siblings, Elizabeth Grange of Newburgh, Donald Grafer of MD, and Joan McKenna of MD; and several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to William’s nephew, Roger Grange, for his helpfulness and faithfulness to his uncle. He always enjoyed his special friends in the “Over the Hill Gang.”

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 9:45am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by interment in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, 130 Union Avenue, New Windsor.
