Obituary for William James Wund

William James Wund, 62, a resident of Poughkeepsie and formerly of Carmel and the Bronx, died on July 17, 2018 at the Grove at Valhalla.

Born in New York City on May 24, 1956, he was the son of Margaret (Ahern) Wund and the late George Joseph Wund. William proudly served our country in the US Navy and had been employed as an Operational Engineer with Jazz at the Lincoln Center. He enjoyed fishing and boating.

In addition to his mother, William is survived by his son, Nicolas Zappardino; his siblings, Patricia Hoffman, June Wund, John Wund, and Kathryn Reidy; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9-11am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 11:30am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by military honors.
