Obituary for Willi K. Brenner

Willi Brenner, 87, passed away June 6, 2018 at Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie.

Born in Konstanz, Germany, he was the son of Agathe and Wilhem Brenner. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1954. In 1959, he married Diana DeLuca of Brooklyn and they moved to Dutchess County in 1961. He was a builder for over 50 years.

Willi served in the US Army for 2 years and was a member of the Hillside Lake Fire Company, and Roger’s Point Boating Association. He was also a life member of the Dutchess County Pistol Association. He enjoyed his family, hunting, boating, traveling and oil painting.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his sons and their wives, William and Joy, and Anthony and Lisa; and his beloved grandsons, Nicholas and Michael. He is also survived by his sister Helga Hengstler of Germany and her family.

Friends may call at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Friday from 4-7pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
