Obituary for Joseph John Lanza

Joseph John Lanza
Joseph John Lanza, 29, a lifelong area resident died on Thursday, April 5, 2018.

Born in Rhinebeck on November 8, 1988, Joseph was the son of Gary J. Lanza and Wendy (Kopyscianski) Savastano.

Joseph worked as an analyst for JP Morgan in Manhattan. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church. Joseph enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces who were the loves of his life. He loved Taylor Swift and asked that his nieces call her Aunt Tay. He made everyone laugh and put smiles on everyone’s face.

In addition to his parents, Joseph is survived by his stepfather, Anthony Savastano; his sisters, Tracy of Wappingers, Candace of Wappingers and Mandy of Kentucky; and his nieces, Enya Runge and Lilliana Hare.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday a 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
