Alice T. Renna
WICCOPEE - Alice T. Renna, 66, a resident of East Fishkill, died suddenly on March 21, 2018 while vacationing in Melbourne, FL.
Alice was born on October 15, 1951, the daughter of Anthony A. and Rita (Beaudry) Renna. She graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady, later attending Schenectady County Community College and graduating with a degree in Culinary Arts.
Alice was a gifted textile artist and for a time she and her two sisters started 3 Sisters, their own brand of handmade ladies clothing and accessories. After spending most of her career in Schenectady, she eventually moved to Rhinebeck, NY and worked as a chef at the Omega Institute until she retired. It was at Omega that Alice met Eli Cohen and they spent the remainder of her years together traveling far and wide in both the USA and abroad. Alice loved the outdoors. She was a member of the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club. Alice and Eli enjoyed hiking and kayaking together.
Alice is survived by her partner Eli Cohen; her sisters, Sandra (Ed) Rohrmeier and Anita Rose (Jerry Curry); nieces Heidi (Rick) McCane, Jennifer (Erich) Spikereit, Katrina (Dan) Lanka, and Melanie (Jeff) Hayes; and nephews Edmund Rohrmeier (Amanda Litwin), Dante Delgiacco, and Brian Renna; as well as 8 great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Anthony.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held, starting at noon, on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Mill Creek Caterers, Routes 376 & 52, Hopewell Junction, NY.
A celebration will be held in the Schenectady area at a date and time to be determined.
