Condolence: We only met Bob once when he and Barbara came to visit us in Portland, Oregon. We liked him very much and are saddened by his passing . Barbara is a dear friend of ours. Even though we left the Dutchess County area years ago we stay in close contact with Barbara.

Our deepest sympathy,

Gordon & Ute Payne

Condolence From: Wayne Rogers
Condolence: Back in high school I was small enough to be stuffed into a gym locker. Bob, being big enough, made that happen. Missed the first 45 minutes of X-country practice that day. Two years ago Bob and I worked on a project with Doug Van de Zande for AHS. More mischief ensued. I am glad that our paths have crossed even as few as they may have been. I share in the grief and mourning of his passing.

Condolence From: Charlie North
Condolence: No matter what the age, it seems as if the people we love are stolen from us. I found that the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them. Cherish the memories and think happy memories. It will put a smile on your face and warmth in your heart. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Condolence From: Mary Alice & David Monto, retired, Dutchess ProPrint
Condolence: Our hearts are heavy to learn of Bob’s passing. We send our deepest, heartfelt sympathies to Bob’s family and friends. We met Bob just seven years ago and were struck by his sense of integrity and thoughtfulness for others. We learned of his and his Dad’s ECHO Cottages business and could not have been more impressed with the quality and care taken to ensure their work was done as if they themselves would be living in the cottages. We supported his efforts to grow his business and watched with joy for him with each success. He was a good and decent man and his family has much to be proud of in his legacy. We wish we had a builder like him here in Virginia. May God bless you all.

Condolence: Dear Barb and Family.
I send my sincere sympathy to you and your family. Bob was such a kind, generous and thoughtful person. I enjoyed my knowing him, as part of the Arlington High School class that we both were in. I hope that all of the wonderful memories of Bob give you comfort and peace.

Sincerely, Pam Tornatore Kalliche

Condolence From: Geri DeWitt Ruby, Broker
Condolence: Bob accomplished so much during his lifetime, touching so many lives in a positive way! I was proud to work with him for over 30years, representing him on many transactions. He was a talented builder with a BIG heart! He cared about those who were less fortunate and he was solid on his word. I remember in the early 1980s we did a deal whereby the buyer of his new construction came into the closing with a bag of $300,000 in small bills (a lot of money back then). The buyer wanted to know if Bob needed to count the cash, and Bob waived him off stating absolutely not necessary. This is the kind of guy he was - trusting, putting his heart and soul into everything he did! Our sincere condolences to Barbara, Bob's children, and extended family. Love, Curt, Geri, Jennifer Ruby & Kristen, Drew, and Harlan Walsh
