Francis Robert Cassidy, 80, an area resident since 1968, died suddenly on March 13, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Brooklyn on August 31, 1937, he was the son of Michael and Bridget (Kenoy) Cassidy. Francis served in the US Army Reserves and was employed as a Finance Manager with IBM in East Fishkill and Poughkeepsie for 30 years until his retirement in 1994. He was a parishioner of St. Denis Church, and was an avid golfer and fan of the New York Mets.

On August 12, 1961, Francis married Helen Andreason who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Chris Cassidy of LaGrange, James Cassidy and his wife Susan of Fairfield, CT, and Janine Kearney and her husband Jim of Ringoes, NJ; his grandchildren, Meaghan, Dylan and Erin; his twin brother, Bill Cassidy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
