Obituary for Nora Kohlmaier Taylor

Nora Kohlmaier Taylor, 62, a lifelong area resident, died on March 9, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Poughkeepsie on November 21, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Werner and Christa (Peterhansel) Kohlmaier. Nora was a scientist with Boehringer-Ingelheim in Danbury, CT until her retirement in 2016. She enjoyed photography and biking on the Rail Trail, but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family.

Nora is survived by her daughter, Christen Prete and her husband Matthew; her son, Michael Lamprecht; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary and Mackenzie; her siblings, Karin McGraw, Norbert Kohlmaier, Heidi and David Creese, Heinz and Cindy Kohlmaier, and Inge and Gary Beard; her uncle and aunt, Karl and Lillian Kohlmaier; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday at 11am at the New Hackensack Reformed Church, 1580 Route 376, Wappingers Falls with Rev. Keith Tamlyn officiating.
