Obituary for Robert W. "Bob" Snowden

Robert Wayne Snowden, 58, passed away peacefully at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on Monday, March 5, 2018, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born on July 19, 1959 to parents John W. Snowden III and Althea Galati Snowden, who both predeceased him, as did his brother John W. Snowden IV.
Bob, as he liked to be called, was a lifelong resident of Dutchess County. He graduated from John Jay High School and attended Dutchess Community College. He worked his entire career in the manufacturing industry, most recently at Marco Manufacturing in Poughkeepsie.
He was an active member of The Boy Scouts of America for most of his life, and enjoyed camping, woodworking, attending concerts, “fixing things" and spending time with his family—especially during Christmas, his favorite holiday.
Bob is survived by his partner Mary Jayne, whom he lived with in Poughkeepsie, as well as her children and grandchildren; his son Mark Snowden and girlfriend Kelli Schwarze of Verbank; his daughter Samantha Snowden Cuello and husband Christian Cuello of Beacon; the mother of his children Donnamaria Snowden of Beacon; his granddaughter Ava Cuello of Beacon; and his sister Lynn Dorney and husband John Dorney of Atlanta.
Bob had a large family and was loved by many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 8 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 9, at the funeral home, followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 (www.pancan.org)
