Condolence: Dear Anne-Margrete and Family, I am so sorry to learn of the passing of my good friend Boris; you have my deepest sympathies and condolencies. I have many delightful memories from this most generous man. I know well he was first and foremost a family man, and so led a rich, happy and full life. But we also regularly met to discuss shipping and capital markets over reassuringly long lunches in the City of London, on occasion together with our joint friend Miwa-san. Lots of laughter; fond memories. Steak at George & Vulture (est. 1600). Market talk was fine - but the truly rewarding and enjoyable aspects for me was Boris' kind willingness to share advice, experiences and insights from a long career as a preeminent shipping banker from three continents through the most dramatic periods of industry changes. Remarkable. I am deeply grateful. Please know that my warmest thoughts are with you at this time. Lars Titland

Condolence: IN MEMORY OF BORIS NACHAMKIN I was sorry but grateful for being informed by Anne-Margrete that Boris passed away on the 14. February. I had the pleasure of cooperating with Boris and receiving his advice and knowledge of the world development over many years. We developed a very close and friendly relationship. He and the bank financed very many of our ships and projects and with the trust and the continuing of having the same person in charge of the ship financing was a tremendous benefit as he got to know me well and the way I was thinking, and thereby we could have a very quick decision on financing. And I am proud to refer to Boris statements that the bank never lost anything on the contracts we entered into. But besides being a good friend and advisor, he was very peasant and interesting person. And Boris had more talents, just look at the picture enclosed, he could grill the steaks perfectly. And to me the relations we were able to build up was the ideal being able to trust your bankers as I did. So Boris, I have a lot to thank you for in addition to all the good memories that we experienced together. Please rest in peace Andreas K. L.
