Obituary for Yolanda Sinagra (Libutti)

Yolanda Sinagra, 93, a lifelong resident of the Bronx, died on February 8, 2018 at the Wingate at Ulster.

Born in the Bronx on September 20, 1924, she was the daughter of Egidio and Teresina Libutti. She had been a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in the Bronx. She enjoyed singing and tap dancing.

On May 25, 1947 at St. Martin of Tours Church in the Bronx, Yolanda married Anthony W. Sinagra who predeceased her on August 11, 1995. She is survived by her son, Anthony G. “Jerry” Sinagra and his wife Carol of Poughkeepsie; her daughter, Karen Ann Carver and her husband Grover of GA; her grandchildren, Anthony J. and Emy Sinagra of Poughkeepsie, Joseph L. Sinagra of Poughkeepsie, Peter Bennett of WI and Christina Bennett of the Bronx; and her great-granddaughters, Isabella and Sofia Sinagra. She was predeceased by her siblings, Michael, John, Angelo, and Joseph Libutti, Mildred Bongiorno, and May DeCarluccio.

Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10:30am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 103 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Private interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
