Joseph Martin Giorgio, 98, an area resident since 1996 and formerly of Carmel and Mamaroneck, died on January 8, 2018 at Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.

Born in Fairmont, WV on October 9, 1919, he was the son of Nicola and Philomena (LaLungo) Giorgio. Joseph proudly served our country in the US Army during World War II and was employed as a carpenter with the Empire State Carpenters Union.

On October 30, 1949 in Port Chester, Joseph married Sadie (LaBella) who predeceased him on October 19, 2013. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Catherine and Dale Hamman, Nicholas and Patti Giorgio, Joseph and Deborah Giorgio, Stephen Giorgio, John Giorgio, and James Giorgio; his grandchildren, Elisa Giorgio, Daniel Hamman and Debby Dragoo, Emily and Chris Howard; and his great-grandchildren, Davonn and Camden Giorgio, Cordelia and Dominic Hamman, Keeley Jo and Isaac Howard.
