Obituary for Nancy C. Fletcher (Becker)

Nancy C. Fletcher, 60, an area resident since 1985 and formerly of Carmel, died on January 7, 2018 at Putnam Hospital Center.

Born in Rockville Centre, NY on September 29, 1957, she was the daughter of Dorothy (Beermann) Becker of Baldwin and the late Lloyd Becker. She had been employed as a Physical Education Teacher at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in the Lakeland School District. Teaching was her passion and she passed this love on to her students through the years. She also served on the Board of Directors for Camp Ma-He-Tu, a Lutheran girls camp in Harriman Park, NY.

In addition to her mother, Nancy is also survived by her fiance, Paul Vasely; her children, Casey Fletcher of San Diego, CA, and Craig Fletcher of Boston, MA; her brother, Chuck Becker of East Meadow; her sister, Diane Ialenti of Garden City; and her nieces and nephews, Caitlin and Kyle, Pam, Devon, Scott, and Jaime.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 P.M. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be on Friday at 10am at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1400 Route 52, Fishkill.
