Maryann Gregory (Maynard)
Maryann Gregory, 74, an area resident for over 50 years, died on January 7, 2018 at the Baptist Home in Rhinebeck.

Born in Barnstable, MA on July 27, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Evelyn (Brooks) Maynard. Maryann retired as Housekeeping Supervisor from Kent Hospital in Kent, CT where she had made many long lasting friendships. She was very generous and giving of herself, and would often go in and cook for the Alzheimer’s patients in her spare time. She had also worked at the Baptist House and Craig House.

An avid crafter, Maryann also enjoyed cooking and baking. She was fond of the outdoors, especially birds and flowers, and loved listening to Oldies music.

On October 25, 1963 in Poughkeepsie, Maryann married Richard Gregory who survives at home. She is also survived by her children and their spouses, Caprice and John Porcoro of Fishkill, Lisa and David Selage of Wappingers Falls, Diane and Edward Hayde of Rhode Island, and Jason Gregory of Poughkeepsie; her grandchildren, Caprice and her husband Charles, Heather, Donnie and his fiancée Kristina, Stefan and his wife Malin, Tyler and Meagan; her great-grandchildren, Quincy, Kaleb, Cody, Siri, and Selma, and was looking forward to the arrival of another great-grandson; her siblings and their spouses, George and Eileen Maynard, Joan and Gary Demole, Gene and Jack Maynard; as well as many other siblings who she had recently reconnected with; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Robert Gordineer; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Richard Jon Gregory; and her brother, Jerry Maynard.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3-7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 am at the funeral home followed by burial at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
