Patrick P.  Paraggio
Patrick P. Paraggio, 44 year resident of LaGrangeville, died on December 3, 2017 at his home.

Patrick was born on May 27, 1944 to the late John Paraggio and Olga Morretta in the Bronx, NY. He was married to Betty Paraggio, his wife of 49 years, who predeceased him in 2014.

Patrick is survived by his son Patrick A. Paraggio of Nashua, NH; daughter Lisa L. Paraggio Bussa and her husband Michael Bussa of LaGrange, NY; son Philip M. Paraggio and his wife Catherine Paraggio of Kent, NY; grandchildren Ryan Paraggio, Nicholas Paraggio, Christina Paraggio, Christopher Paraggio, Emylie Bussa and Michael Bussa, Jr.; sister Rose Gruman of Floral Park, NY; and brother John Paraggio and his wife Susan of Wappingers Falls, NY. He also had 16 nieces and nephews and 28 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Patrick was very involved in the community. He served as Cub Master of Scout Pack 82; member of LaGrange Fire Company #1; member of the US Power Squadron; past commander for the Poughkeepsie Yacht Club; and a member of the Nutmeg Wood Turners, New Milford, CT. He was also a member of the Kaatskill Turners and the Hudson Valley Wood Carvers, where he worked on and completed more than 150 canes for Wounded Warriors and WWII Veterans. He also formed the Johnson Road Neighborhood Watch. Patrick enjoyed family, wood turning, wood carving, sailing, and the ocean.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 11am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville. Private interment will be in St. Denis Cemetery.
