Obituary for Mark J. Leis

Mark Joseph Leis, age 40, born on March 18, 1977 in Yonkers, NY, residing in Ballston Spa, NY passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 while at home.

He graduated from Arlington High School in LaGrangeville, NY. Mark truly loved spending time with his family and friends, especially at family gatherings and barbecues. He had a true passion for everything cars - whether it be working on them, attending car shows or enjoying NASCAR races. He also loved music and attending concerts with his brothers, his favorite was the Dave Matthews Band. The church was an important part of Mark’s life and he was an active parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Ballston Spa, NY.

Mark is preceded by his parents, Richard and Debra Leis, of LaGrangeville, NY. He is survived by his brothers, David (Jo-Ann) of Pleasantville and John (Kathleen) of Bronxville, his niece and nephews, Emma, Jake, and Evan; and aunts, Carol Leis and Linda Leis as well as his many cousins and extended family.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery.
