Obituary for Rose Viserto

WAPPINGERS FALLS – Rose Viserto, 90, an area resident for 35 years, died on October 25, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She previously lived in the Bronx.

Born in Manhattan on May 16, 1927, Rose was the daughter of the late Michael and Angelina (D’Agostino) Ferrantino. On September 26, 1948 in Manhattan, Rose married Joseph Viserto who predeceased her on February 6, 1992.

Rose will be missed greatly by her family. She is survived by her daughter, Lucille Mooradian-Hutchison of Wappingers Falls; her son, Michael Viserto and his wife Grace of Beacon; her grandchildren, John Mooradian and his wife Stacie of Marlboro, Michael Mooradian and his wife Barbara of Wappingers Falls, Dawn Gordon and her husband Richard of Marlboro, and Michael Viserto of Beacon; her great-grandchildren, Mark Straub, Kayla Gordon, John Anthony Mooradian, Joseph Mooradian, Christopher Mooradian, Kaitlyn Gordon, Leah Gordon, and Richie Gordon; her great-great grandson, Mark Straub, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Rose was predeceased by her 5 brotherS and sisters, and her son-in-law, David Hutchison.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10:15 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill followed by entombment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
