Lucille Ciulla (Provenzano)
FISHKILL - Lucille Ciulla, a resident of Fishkill since 1975 and formerly of the Bronx, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel. She was 72.
She was born in the Bronx on May 31, 1945, daughter of the late Mary D’Arminio Provenzano. She graduated from Evander Childs High School and later attended business school. Lucille worked as a banker on Wall Street.
On June 1, 1968, she married the love of her life, Michael Ciulla, Sr., at Immaculate Conception Church in the Bronx. A few years later, they relocated to Dutchess County to raise their family. Lucille worked for several years at I.B.M. in East Fishkill and later for the Wappingers Central School District.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church, in Fishkill and attended the Fishkill Seniors Group at the Town Recreation Center. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and will be remembered as a great cook. Above all else, she loved playing with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Michael on July 15, 2008 after 40 years of marriage.
Lucille is survived by her son, Michael Ciulla, Jr. & his wife Dianna of Fishkill; her daughter, Gina Renzo & her husband Ray of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Angelina, Gabriella, Michael III, Makayla, and Ray Jr; and many other loving relatives and friends, especially several cousins whom she considered her siblings.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 23 and from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 24 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main St., Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, September 25 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
