Obituary for Carol Jean Wohlmuth (Scully)

Carol Jean Wohlmuth, 59, an area resident since 1998 and formerly of Mount Vernon, died peacefully on September 9, 2017 at her home following a long illness.

Born on April 27, 1958 in Mount Vernon, she was the daughter of William and Dorothy (Roth) Scully. Carol was employed as a custodian for the Poughkeepsie Public Library until her retirement in 2016. She enjoyed playing the slot machines and scratch off tickets, bowling and doing crafts.

On August 2, 1980 in Mahopac, Carol married Norman Wohlmuth who survives her. She is also survived by her sons, William and his wife Lisa of Beacon, Richard and his wife Allison of Fishkill, and David and his fiancé Lauren of Wappingers Falls; her grandsons, Liam and Benny; her brothers, William Scully and Robert Scully; his sisters, Kathleen Osborn and Dorothy Horn; and many nieces and nephews.

Service will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Please visit Carol’s Book of Memories at www.mchoulfuneralhome.com.
