Obituary for Matthew Anthony Volpe

Matthew Anthony Volpe
Matthew Anthony Volpe died unexpectedly on August 17th, 2017 in Poughkeepsie, NY at the age of 29. Matt left an impression with everyone whom he encountered in his life. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, nephew, cousin, and friend – but above all he was an adoring father. Matt loved his sons Matthew (9), and Vincenzo (6 mos) more than life itself and would stop at nothing to ensure their happiness.

Matt was always spending time with his sons – from coaching Matthew’s little league games and taking road trips with the family, to changing diapers. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his boys.

Matt attended Briarwood College and received his Associates in Hospitality Management and later attended Westchester Community College to receive his second Associates in Business Management. After finishing college, Matt worked for a variety of hotels where he was very successful managing day to day hotel operations and sales/forecasting.

Matt truly brought joy to the people who meant the most in his life. He was always there to crack a joke, bust someone's chops, or lend a hand whenever someone needed it. He will be missed by his family and true friends.

Matt was born on October 6th, 1987 in Poughkeepsie, NY and is survived by his mother and father Angela Volpe and William H. Volpe of Hopewell Junction, NY; his brother and his wife Billy Volpe and Vanessa Volpe of Stamford, CT; his wife Jaclyn Volpe of Poughkeepsie, NY; his two sons Matthew Volpe and Vincenzo Volpe; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout the tri-state area..

Matt will be buried privately in the company of his family only.
