HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Linda Perlitz Gallery, 75, an area resident for 34 years, died on August 11, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.

Linda was born in the Bronx on May 11, 1942. She had been employed as an office clerk at Poughkeepsie Savings Bank until her retirement in 1996. Linda was a parishioner at St. Columba Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and was active in the Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of All Sport, Catholic Widows & Widowers of Dutchess County, and the Italian Center. She enjoyed gardening, bingo, and playing bocce ball.

On June 3, 1989 at St. Columba Church, Linda married John Gallery who predeceased her in 2011. She was also predeceased by her parents, Robert and Helen Perlitz; her grandson, Donald Miller; and her siblings, Robert Perlitz and Joanne Urbaniak.

She is survived by her children, Donnalyn Weller and her husband Randy Sr. of Newburgh and Claudine DeStefano of Walkill; her stepchildren and their spouses, John and Jennifer Gallery, Jr. of Salt Point, Diane and John Saraceno of Wappingers Falls, and Karen and Frank Halay of Springfield Center; her grandchildren, Christopher and Jessica, Matthew and Meagan, Randy Jr. and Francesca, Amanda and Chris, Andrew and his fiancée Heather, and David and his partner Dennis; her step-grandchildren, Jennifer and Levi, Laura and Geoffrey, Benjamin, Adam and Anna, Catherine, and Samuel; 8 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Helen Fanning and Donna Labriola; her longtime friend, Joanne Nicoli; and her dog, Jenny.

The family would like to thank Hudson Valley Hospice as well as her neighbors for their care, kindness, and compassion.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10 am at St. Columba Church followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
