Joan F. Brennan, 86, a resident of Mooresville, NC since 2007 and previously of Long Beach, died on July 20, 2017 at Genesis in Mooresville.

Born in Brooklyn on July 24, 1930, Joan was the daughter of Frank and Helen (O’Connor) Tracey.

Joan worked for the Long Beach School District for 20 years. She also worked as a model in her younger years. She was widowed in 1999.

She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife Nancy of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Devlin, Teagan, Emmett, and Nola; and her sisters, Nancy Toohey of Long Beach and Ellen Hanson of North Carolina. She was predeceased by her son Jamie on August 12, 1987.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10am at St. Martin de Porres, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery in Queens will be private.
