Condolence From: Agnes Nolan

Condolence: To the family and friends of Elaine. I want to express my most sincere condolences at.the passing of Elaine. She was a member of the East Fishkill Seniors and she always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed playing cards and socializing with her friends. She will be missed by all. I had just written Elaine's Birthday Card for her birthday on July 21. Wishing you A Happy Birthday in Heaven Elaine.

Condolence From: Hans (Peterberns) Thomsen and Ginny

Condolence: If it is true that there are angels here on earth, then Elaine was surely one of them. No one could be a kinder or more compassionate person than she was. She brightened up a room with her joyful presence, her playful humor and sparkling eyes, and an always positive and caring attitude. We shared many an evening in Pete and Elaine's home over one of her delicious meals, or just cake and coffee. They opened their home and gave us a place to stay when we needed it. Elaine carried a heavy load when she was running a company on Long Island, managing a household, and caring for her dear Mother, Anna, and her Brother, Fred; all while being a loving wife to her beloved husband, Pete, Hans' brother. But she managed it all with love and great caring. She never forgot a Birthday or an Anniversary. We were in awe of her never-ending acts of kindness for other people and animals. Her passing is a great loss for her family, her countless friends, and her community. We will miss her greatly. We love you, Elaine.

Condolence: Aunt Elaine was a very special lady whose heart was full of love for all. She made our Uncle Pete very happy from the very first day they married. She cared for him dearly until his very last. She was the sunshine in his life, and the warm rays of her love danced into ours. While we were separated by so many miles, I enjoyed the many cards I received and the phone calls we shared over the years. My husband and I were blessed to be able to visit with her just a few years ago, and while she was somewhat incapacited the time, she amazed us with her energy and her positive spirit. I will miss her terribly.

Condolence: How do I remember kind, wonderful Aunt Elaine with mere words? I'll try - she always had time for me through the many years we stayed in touch. We honored the life and memory of Uncle Pete, and laughed about the many odd situations in our family - Aunt Elaine always had a positive way of looking at things and made others feel so comfortable. She was such a treasure; I will miss our calls and her loving letters (I still have them) and of course her infamous "I love you back". She possessed a nature that was down to earth, and spirited at the same time - people loved her for it! Although her vacations were few, they were no less memorable; she recanted those to me with joy. Being a true servant of those less fortunate brought comfort to Aunt Elaine. She was a role model for all of us. I was a better person because Aunt Elaine was in my life and loved me. She was a pillar of strength for me the many times I was gravely ill... God Bless my dear Aunt Elaine - until we meet again! Love, your niece, Liz (Texas)
