Condolence: Darling.. I flew to Grass Valley on September 12- your 77th birthday.I
stayed with your best friend, Kent Clark. he did so much
for me. for many years here I have been longing to go back to
Grass Valley but when I got there this time I realized all of my friends
have had health problems and are looking older- I didn't recognize
Susan Netboy at first and Michele has long gray hair. I went by the old house and saw that my art studio is now a rented studio apartment.
GV is slow living and it seemed boring this time. New York has more to do
and Im getting closer to Kristine and Andrey-w ho I didn't know much from him until recently.the one thing that makes me sad is that Kristine did not encourage the boys to have a close relationship with the kids and I resent her not doing so. She should have made me an

Condolence: Darling James,
Last week marked 5 years since your death. This date and your
birthdays are always hard for me. I cried a lot this time and thought of you, looked at photos of you. I remember how you loved living in Grass
Valley and being president of the Democratic Club- how they loved your
expertise , knowledge and great leadership!
I miss you now and forever.
Love, Cornelia- your loving wife

Condolence: Dearest James,
Our family: Kristine, Eric, Eli, Oli, and Andrey got together
to honor you- it was June 17, 2020- you have been gone for 3 years. I read a poem by Maya Angelou, the boys told about fun things they did with you- Eli- playing chess, Eric telling about the trip he took with you to NYC AND Washington DC when he was 8. I bought special orders to eat from Red Line Diner and we all ate outside 6 feet apart since Covid 19 is still present in NY. We all told
of how much we love you!
Rest easy my love, Cornelia. 6/17/2020

Grass Valley, visiting some of your Dem friends.. Diane Emmett said we could even go to a meeting of the central committee..
I miss you so much! It's been very hard to go on without you and at times I have felt it would be better to be with you in Heaven.
Those thoughts are gone now. Lola died last Saturday. She was 12 1/2
anf couldn'
t get up or walk. I am so sad she is gone since now I feel really alone.
I am so grateful I had you as my husband and for all of the good times we had.You will always be in my heart forever.

Condolence: My dearest James,
How I long to see you again. Life is very lonely here in New York,
I wish we were still living in California where our dearest friends are.
I can't help crying about you but I know I will see you again in Heaven.
I often feel your presence around me and it is so comforting.I am trying hard to start everything all over here in New York-but it's so hard to be here without you. I am glad to be near our children but since we only saw them once a year, I
have to get to know them all over again. This the hardest journey I will ever have to take and I know you are with God and are no longer suffering. You were so brave battling pancreatic cancer and I am so grateful I could take care of you with the help of Hospice.

Condolence: Dearest James,
It has been 1 year since you passed away. I miss you every day, dream about you and long to see you again. Kristine is taking your ashes to California in July to scatter them in your beloved state.
I am very sad to have lost you. Know that I'm trying to make a new life in Beacon, New York, although life will never be the same without you darling. I am near our children which is what you wished and have your bookshelf just the way you left it and in the upstairs bedroom your honors and certificates still adorn the walls.
I am so grateful that you were my husband for 50 years! No one could have asked for a better husband, friend and lover.
God bless you in Heaven, until we meet again.
Love, XXX000 Cornelia 7/2/18
