Obituary for Kenneth F. Gross

Kenneth F. Gross, 53, a Fishkill resident for 15 years, died on May 25, 2017 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, surrounded by family and friends.

Ken was born in New York City on August 5, 1963, and grew up in Long Island and Westchester. Ken proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Cold War. As a veteran, Ken was a board member of Rolling Thunder Chapter #3, was an active volunteer at Castle Point VAMC and was a former member of the Patriot Guard. He was an avid reader and enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life including model making, ham radio and loved riding his motorcycle, especially through the scenic Hudson Valley area, which he was very fond of.

He worked at Westchester Community College for the past 27 years. He was an active member and lector of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Fishkill. Ken enjoyed the friendship of so many over the years from his youth, military, work, volunteer and social activities.

Ken is survived by his son, Adam Price and his wife Christina of Pickerington, OH; his grandchildren, Mia, Madelyn, and Emilee; his mother, Anita (Lewin) Myers of Fairfield, CT; his love, Robin Evangelista of Fishkill; his siblings, Karen Greenwood and her husband James of Fairfield, CT, Benjamin Gross and his wife Cherry Libramonte, DMD of Brooklyn, and Lauren Gross of New York City; his stepmother, Rosa Ament, PhD; his nephews, Ian, Jagger, Morgan and Breslin and his niece Emma; many aunts and cousins; and his extended brothers, sisters, and gold star mothers of Rolling Thunder. He was predeceased by his father, Charles M. Gross.
A memorial service will be held on July 15, with the time and location to be determined.
