Condolences

Condolence From: Vanessa
Condolence: I had the benefit of having Kathy as a professor for one semester and during that time the class was full of warmth, laughter, and valuable life lessons that i will always take with me. Although I did not know Kathy very long she immediately made you feel at ease and as if you were one of her very own students. Kathy was truly a very inspirational, kind and loving professor and my deepest condolences go out to her friends and family.

Condolence From: Grace Cillo
Condolence: As a grad student and her teaching assistant I had the good fortune of getting to know Kathy. She was one of the rare truly good ones you meet in life. Generous of heart, funny, smart, honest, and just altogether very cool! We all loved her. My deepest sympathies to her family for their loss. May they find comfort in knowing the positive effect Kathy had on people everyday.

Condolence: I will miss many things about Kathy, but her humor the most. As a new professor, I had a lot of questions and made a bunch of silly mistakes. With Kathy as the Chair, I soon learned that three things would happen when I went into her office: (1) I would be listened to, (2) I would laugh, and (3) I would leave feeling better than when I arrived. These three things are worthy goals for all of us in our relations with one other, and Kathy will always be a shining example of how to live them.

Condolence: I am so very grateful to Kathy--for her guidance, her generosity, but most of all, her friendship these past few years. In no exaggeration, she is largely responsible for helping me graduate and I will forever carry her smile and her spirit with me. The kindness she has shown to me, my husband, and family will never be forgotten. Thank you, Kathy. I love you.

Condolence: I will greatly miss Kathy's "no nonsense" way of loving others and taking on life head on. She was a spectacular and strong woman who will always be in my heart. (Her stuffed artichokes will probably always be on my hips too.) Kathy's soul isn't one to rest in peace, so instead I'll wish it safe travels as it moves on to new adventures. All my love to my chosen family, Bob, Andrea, Mark, Stella and Massimo. And with sympathy, empathy and more love, Beth
