Obituary for Mark James Irving Sr.

Mark James Irving, Sr., 76, a resident of Dutchess County since 1976 and previously of Ossining, died on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Ossining on May 2, 1938, he was the son of the late Harold James and Elizabeth Jenny Robinson Irving. Mark served our country in the US Navy and was employed as a steamfitter with Local Union in Yonkers.
On January 20, 1961 in Ossining, Mark married the love of his life, Kathleen McClement. Mark was very active in his church at Fishkill Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher.
In addition to his wife of 53 years, Mark is survived by his children and their spouses, Mark James Irving, Jr. and his wife Nikki of Wappingers Falls, Robert James Irving and his wife Elizabeth of Putnam Valley, Patricia Irving and her partner Anthony Wojda of Staatsburg, and Kathleen Irving of Lagrangeville; his grandchildren, Erin, Mark III, Kayla, Sean, Kiefer, and Robert; his great-grandchildren, Mark IV, Liam, and Maxen; and his sisters, Elizabeth Hoffer of FL and Sally Griff and her husband Marty of Yoktown.
Calling hours will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Friday from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11am at Fishkill Baptist Church, 107 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Inurnment will follow at Lagrange Cemetery with military honors.
