Alena Caryn Nicolas was born into the arms of the angels on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. For a brief fleeting moment, an angel touched the ground with tiny wings and halo, leaving footprints on our hearts forever.

Alena was the beloved daughter of Dufresne “Didi” and Michelle (Jackson) Nicolas of the Town of Poughkeepsie. She is also survived by her big sister, Ava; her big brother, Ayden; her grandparents, Karen and Artie Jackson of Catskill, and Jean L. and Eugenia C. Nicolas of Nanuet; her aunts and uncles, Mary Lynn Nicolas-Brewster and Victor Brewster, Chris Jackson, Troy and Doreen Jackson; her cousins, Christian and Cameron; and her Godparents, Maritza Reyes and Craig Phillips.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10am at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main Street, Poughkeepsie followed by interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
